85" Byron Kit Built F4U Corsair

This is Michael Radu's Byron Corsair that he built from a kit and flew at two warbird events in NorCal. This 35 lbs Corsair is powered by a Saito 90cc 3-cylinder gasoline engine and is packed with custom scale details. The scale components were made from scratch using 3D printing, then individually finished and painted. Custom-made stencils were used to recreate the aircraft's paint markings, and even the rivet detailing was done by hand. The result is an awesome example of what can be accomplished with a classic Byron kit combined with modern fabrication techniques and a huge amount of hands-on craftsmanship.
