Habu 32x 8s 160MPH
Description
E-Flite Habu 32x 8s Build
I got this airframe on facebook marketplace for $300 with all the stock electronics and I guess it was about 12 years old. It looked like someone through a handful of rocks through the fan so I started looking for a speed build.
This one is not crazy but on 8s it does around 160mph. Awesome little jet and I plan to go 10 or 12s in the future.
I 3d printed a custom mount for the jet fan that pushes it back farther so I could put more battery weight up front. This required pulling the stock balsa servo tube supports and had to do a little custom work and epoxy them to the side of the fuse.
I am running a Jetfan with a HET 700-60 39mm 1865kv motor and a Castle Creations edge 130amp ESC running it on LiHi 8s batteries and have had no issues with overvoltage on the ESC.
