My progress on a wing rib for an RC plane.
Description
They are in order from v1-v6. The first three versions were supposed to have a 20mm carbon fiber rod, until I realised that thats stupid, all of the small 3mm holes except for v1 and v3 would have a 3mm CF rod. The last three versions have 3d printed trailing edges that run along the length of them, and the last one specifically that I'm working on now will have a version where the trailing edge will act as an aileron. The trailing edges on the first three were supposed to be elongated like the last one, but I didn't want to waste the filament so I made them 3mm. The purpose of the trailing edge is so when the foam is wrapped around the ribs, it will have a smooth transition to the trailing edge rather than a rough foam edge for better aerodynamics. I'm pretty happy with v6 for now, and I'll most likely be moving on to the hinged version unless I have issues with the main spar being so far forward or something else.
