Description

Finally debuting my CARF Diablo built over the winter months. Though a quick build, I took my time on it. The overall focus of this airplane was LIGHT. The dry weight came out to 27lbs (12.3kg). That included about 12oz (340g) of nose weight shoved all the way in the front of the canopy. I eliminated the stick hard tank and UAT and opted for a fuel bag from RCJet.ch. This took out about 1lb from the total weight and I couldn't be happier with the fuel bag quality and overall experience. Servos were primarily Cha 3512 which boast 480oz of torque but only weigh 56g each, truly a perfect match for a small airplane like this. The flying stabs could likely work with 3512s as well, but I sleep a little better at night with the Cha 4613 (630oz torque).

This is the second Diablo that I've built and I was thrilled with the kit quality and ease of assembly.
