Description

So I just completed my first drag build.  I know I'm late to the drag game.  But for me it's a perfect category for me to be able to test against myself, lol.

I am super excited to get out on my street and see what this guy's can do! I'm not going to be doing any real competition against others for now.  I just wanted to build a car that I can use my gnss to see what I can do to get better and faster and experiment with what setups get me down the 132ft faster.  I realized this is waaaay different than setups for speed runs for sure!  Sometimes the faster top end isn't the quickest down the track!  I'm experimenting with tons of different pitch gearing and using lockout clutches and slipper clutches.  All kinds of fun stuff to learn!

This is my first Team Associated kit.  And honestly, I'm blown away!  Plus I also got a bunch of upgrades and aftermarket options for this kit.  Including stuff from Exotek, Factory Team (Team Associated's inhouse tuning company/parts supplier), Proline Hoosier stickies and stock front tires.  Too many parts to list here.  But if there's any questions, I'd be more than happy to answer!

TA DR10M runs 48p gearing.  But I've gotten some sour adapters to run other pitch gearing that I already have for my speed run cars.  But I don't think 64p will hold up in the long run considering how hard I can make this car launch.  Time will tell!  I also have many options coming from the Tamiya Mod6 side of things.  Funny enough, that pitch looks to be more robust as well for hard launches.  Either way, I have an adjustable slipper (stock), the Factory Team lockout slipper with upgraded clutch pads, and an Exotek lockout clutch for running Exotek, Kimbrough, and other brands spurs.
