Description
This is Richard Geertsons Twin engine Grumman XF5F Skyrocket. It was built from modified plans from an old Flying Models magazine. Span is 89"
The plane is powered by two DLE 40cc twins. Retracts are Robart #151 modified for rear retraction.
Its estimate it to be around 30 pounds.
The plans are now offer by Thayer Syme | thayer@flying-models.com, who also writes for Model Aviation magazine.
Richard uses Hitec digital servos almost exclusively in all his RC projects and flys with a Futaba 18SZ radio.
The aircraft also utilize Smart Fly power distribution units and opto-kills and uses a RotoFlow fuel tanks.
