From what I read, 2WD cars are usually cheaper, easier to work on, and can help you become a better driver. On the other hand, 4WD seems to be easier to control on loose dirt and grass, especially for someone who's just getting started.

I'll mostly be driving around the neighborhood, local parks, and maybe a dirt lot every now and then. I'd like to stay somewhere around the $300 range if possible.

If you were buying your first RC car today, would you go with 2WD or 4WD? What model would you recommend, and why?
