Wow these are brilliant. Once I saw the Amain video on these simple RTR oval racing machines I knew I had to get one. They were out of stock so I went to the manufacturers site to grab one (a little more expensive). The car handles great out of the box. They are slightly larger than mini z and the shell is flexible polycarbonate instead of hard ABS like mini z so they are more forgiving in a crash. The car is mechanically simple (no diff) but complexity is used only where needed in the suspension setup and the suspension is great. Its is plush and much more forgiving than a mini z. They remind me of simple Bolink oval racers from the past (but with a more sophisticated chassis design). The space between tiles doesn't upset the suspension as much as a mini z and the car is definitely faster than mini z. This scale (1/24) is phenomenal, its the same as the classic slot cars. They fit on your hands but don't feel tiny, it’s hard to explain unless you hold one. The tires they come with are perfect for tile, grippy but will controllably slide. The only downside is that the tiny motor has some cogging if you accelerate too fast. I simply do a smooth trigger acceleration and the car zips plenty fast with no cogging. The fact that it comes with a tiny brushless motor (and tx and battery, truly rtr) is outstanding. It is really fun adjusting the suspension from the hood with the little hex key. I’m happy with my purchase and am a fan of the 1RC unique design. The tubular chassis is great. These are going to take off and I’m getting some of the other offerings to get into oval racing.
