As always the 1rc cars don't disappoint! The supermod is probably the easiest of the 1rc cars to tune and the long wheelbase makes it easy to get the hang of. It works great on dusty asphalt to carpet. I would definitely recommend the protek Lipo upgrade for the best performance. The soft tires and spring kit will give you everything for an out of the box rtr.This is great car if your club is running 1rc or even if you have some soccer cones and a place to set up an oval you'll not regret this purchase.
What a deal, ran one last season won the super mod class, just wanted another one.
I purchased this 1RC Super Modified after getting a 1RC Sprint Car and a Dirt Late Model.As of this writing, I have not yet ran the modified because of the weather-but if it's anything like the first two 1RC cars, it should be a blast. I converted the sprint car to an asphalt sprinter and now the dirt late model is converted to an asphalt late model-both because it's a lot easier to run an oval on an empty parking lot-which is one of the cool things about these cars-you can set up a small scale oval anywhere there's smooth pavement-and converting certain models is not at all difficult.The parts are readily available and inexpensive.Dirt lots are hard to come by in my neighborhood and running on asphalt keeps'em cleaner too. Now,I only have one issue with the Super Modified.When you receive the car it has, of course, protective plastic all over the body and top wing. You have to completely take it apart down to the chassis in order to remove the covering.Not difficult-but it will take a while.This also gave me the opportunity to detail the engine parts-which all come apart along with the body.If you want to paint it a custom color instead of black or red,simply buy the clear version-you have to take it apart anyway.I got a black one because that's my favorite color for a modified.Highly recommended for a simple oval racer.
