About the RX-01
Real-Car Design
The Addiction RC RX-01 brings real-vehicle engineering concepts to a 1/10 drift chassis, using a front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link suspension for authentic mechanical detail. This unique layout delivers realistic movement, strong stability, and a completely different driving experience from conventional drift platforms. It is designed for drivers who want their RC to look and perform more like a real performance car.
Adjustable Wheelbase
The RX-01 offers an impressive 240–280mm adjustable wheelbase, allowing the chassis to accommodate a wide range of realistic body styles. Fine adjustment helps maintain accurate proportions and a natural stance, while optional center shafts expand compatibility with Addiction body designs. The standard approximately 245mm setup is suited to popular bodies including the RB series, S13, 180SX, and A90 Supra.
Monocoque Structure
A true monocoque main chassis gives the RX-01 a rigid, three-dimensional structure inspired by full-size vehicles. The chassis itself acts as the vehicle's structural framework, combining mechanical realism with the strength and stability needed for high-performance drifting. This construction creates a substantial, scale-inspired appearance while providing a solid foundation for precise chassis performance.
Full Member Frame
The RX-01 goes beyond typical RC construction with a full member-frame design that recreates the structural layout of a real car. Combined with a three-reduction gearbox, adjustable suspension width, service-friendly crossmember design, and disc brake-style hubs and calipers, it delivers exceptional scale realism and engineering detail.
