T-REX 550X utilizes composite material integration technology on the carbon side frame plates, also adding battery mounting rails and top mounted motor base design to make assembly easy and protect the components. Using direct servo CCPM control, and a single piece main bearing block with integrated servo mounts; combined with the low CG EFL rotor head, the 550X delivers exhilarating 3D performance and unimaginable flight speed. Plus, a high quality tail gearbox design, combined with a dual point mounted tail pitch control assembly helps to minimize slop and increase rudder control precision.
T-REX 550X Dominator has been equipped with the 730MX 960KV motor with unique DOMINATOR scheme to provide extremely efficient and powerful output. High voltage brushless BL820H/BL825H servos provide high torque and precise, lightning fast reaction, and low operating temperatures after flight will extend the service life.
The BeastX Plus flybarless system features a 6-axis gyro and 32-bit high speed processor. This processor and gyro work in harmony together to provide the pilot with exceptional flying characteristics, proven performance. Additionally, the BeastX Plus features improvements to vibration detection and absorption seen at the gyro and accelerometer level. With these improvements the BeastX can operate in harsh vibration environments and the pilot would not notice any bad tendencies or bobbles while in flight.

I received my T-rex 550 it was easy to build. I began to program the Beast x it will not bind to my DX9. Also found the esc didn't put out any power. So now I have to find another ESC and put another freebarless unit on the helicopter.
needs a brain 2 in the combo. the beast is nowhere near the brain in performance and when i changed it out the heli really comes to life.
Started flying helicopters in the 90’s and the advancement since then is amazing. Align has really made a nice model in the 550x. Parts fit is perfect and assembly is always fun. I’ve not had the chance to fly it yet but if it’s like the others I’ve built and flown, the 150, 450’s, 600 and the 700 i won’t be disappointed.
This kit went together much better than the 700x super combo kit. Every hole lined up perfectly (700X holes did not) and the instructions were pretty much the same as the 700X kit.
Great kit with excellent quality. You can beat this for the price and this size. This heli is really a 600 size with 550 blades. Build was easy and had no issues with the maiden flight. Only con is the user manual, it could have better detail; the manual also skips a few steps sometimes which can throw you off. Highly recommended!
