Spent quite a bit more on a raw 420, but the SAB models are very well justified. Even for the price point of being much cheaper than a SAB kit, it still doesn’t make up for the true quality of helicopter you’re getting. It's very challenging to cleanly install the electronics, wire management is poor. The belt drive system they use is not efficient. Drive train design has quite a bit more drag than other setups that I've come across. Repairs are inevitable, and even though the parts seem pretty cheap to replace the parts count on this Helicopter kit is very high and a real pain to replace.

What reviewers say

Three verified owners reviewed this 380-class electric helicopter kit. Two reviewers rated it 5/5, praising its value, flight performance, and a fast, straightforward build that took about four hours. The third reviewer rated it 3/5, judging it below higher-end kits in build quality. That reviewer criticised difficult electronics installation, poor wire management, a belt drive they considered inefficient with notable drag, and a high parts count that makes repairs laborious. The reviewers disagree mainly on overall quality versus value, and the sample is small.

  • + Good value for the price
  • + Flies well
  • + Easy, fast build
  • + Cheap replacement parts
  • − Difficult electronics installation
  • − Poor wire management
  • − Belt drive with notable drag
  • − High parts count makes repairs tedious
