Fits pretty tight to the motor, would suggest a little thermal paste to fill in between the gaps of contact. The fan noise is not crazy loud but it can be heard. Overall decent heat sink, but a little over priced.
It seems fine and good quality...fits nicely and does the job...can easily mount a fan too. It also touches the chassis so it provides additional heat conduction through the chassis and provide more support (seems like it).
This heat sink will fit a 42mm diameter motor, however the combination of the heat sink&fan attached will not fit in a arrma vendetta. After I put the sink on the motor, I couldn't get it in that rear input gear where it meets the transmission gearing. Shame...
Great heatsink option for the Arrma 6s line. Sort of tricky to install because getting that spring clip on there can be quite the chore, but at least I know it holds well.
I crammed it on a Castle 1515 motor. It required some modification to do this. The portion of the heatsink that fits under the solder tabs had to be ground down to fit. I like the large fins and I think it works better than other brands. Even without a fan my motor never gets hotter than I can touch it. This one is installed in my 6s Arrma Notorious, I plan on getting another one for my Kraton EXB. I'm happy with it's performance and recommend it.
Reviewers generally find the heatsink well built and effective at cooling, with large fins and a secure spring clip. Fit is the main point of disagreement: some describe it as tight to the motor and recommend thermal paste, while one reviewer could not fit the sink with a fan into an Arrma Vendetta, and another reports needing to grind down a section to clear the solder tabs on a Castle 1515 motor. Fan noise is described as audible but not excessive. Pricing is seen by one reviewer as slightly high. One reviewer reports a fan mismatch with a 35mm fan, though the details are unclear. Several reviews mention installation difficulty.
- + Good build quality

- + Secure spring clip hold
- + Works without a fan
- − Tight motor fit
- − Installation can be tricky
- − Fits not all chassis with fan
- − Possible fan size mismatch
