I am questioning making smaller like the aircraft Horizon has and charging as much as it use to cost in 1/10 is a very good business model.
I just got into this hobby and had to buy this new release. The size of this mini Kraton is perfect for my 7yr old son. The different speed settings are also very helpful. Speed key helps keeping the speed settings lower or increasing them. The transmitter also has a 50/75/100 setting in addition to the speed key that goes into the ESC. It’s a solid and extremely fast RC car. Still plenty fun for an adult too! Just buy it!
Ordered the mini kraton from amain thru ebay with same email but for some reason doesn't pop up here as a purchase. As always with Amain super fast shipping. I ordered it on Friday and showed up today,Monday. Seen lots of great reviews on this and if its anywhere as durable as my mojave grom then its a definite winner. Will find out as soon as battery is charged. Looking it over while waiting it seems extremely well built and nicely thought thru. Will update later with any issues but seriously doubt there will be just looking at it.
Right away the left steering turnbuckle broke. Very minor crash, traction roll in grass. Warm weather, 60 deg. I watched videos of guys beating these up on cement but mine made it maybe 2 mins in grass. I'm very upset I bought this little thing. I'll stick with large scale
Check ALL the fluids replace and fill with new stuff if need be for your style driving.I have 70wt in shocks,front to back is 100,500,80 diffs.xtra hvy shock shafts with thicker center brace and this thing is a BEAST!Skatepark all day with it.Next up is castle 1010 4400 on deck ready to drop in this weekend maybe,she just to reliable so far.I cartwheeled/ rolled about 17 times(movie reference)and she landed on all 4 and just kept on keep in on!Cant say enough of how enjoyable this little thing is on paper,check the smile yourself. :-)
