Bash with Brute Power & Durability

Meet the Arrma Quake 223S — a 2WD brushless monster truck that’s loud, fast, and built to dominate. Whether you're a rookie ready to rip or a veteran ready to send, this beast delivers brutal speed, fearless handling, and zero upgrade guilt.

About the Arrma Quake 223S DSC

Born to Bash

The Arrma Quake 223S DSC 1/10 RTR 2WD Brushless Monster Truck delivers everything you want in a first monster truck — wild speed, serious durability, and hassle-free RTR convenience. With a factory-installed brushless system capable of 35+ MPH on 2S and 50+ MPH on 3S, it’s ready for outrageous performance right out of the box. Throttle limiting and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) give new drivers confidence while seasoned bashers can disable assists and go full send. A rugged drivetrain, long-arm suspension, waterproof electronics, and aggressive styling make this truck the ultimate gateway into hardcore bashing. No upgrades needed — just charge up and blast off.

Brutal Brushless Power

At the heart of the QUAKE is a Spektrum 3660 4000Kv brushless motor paired with a 45A waterproof ESC, delivering torque-packed acceleration and explosive top speeds. Run 2S LiPo for fast and fun or go 3S to unleash beast mode. The Spektrum SLT2 radio includes a throttle limiter, giving you full control of the power curve — perfect for all skill levels. Add in waterproof electronics and a built-in 40mm motor fan, and you’ve got a system that stays cool, clean, and unstoppable.

Tough Where It Counts

The QUAKE’s low-drag composite chassis offers a strong, lightweight backbone built to take hits and shed dirt. Its bottom-loading battery tray makes swaps fast and tool-free, while the clipless monster truck body features molded details and aggressive styling that screams attitude. High-grip dBoots Cut Chevron tires mounted on durable wheels claw through any terrain, while the factory-installed wheelie bar keeps it grounded when you light it up.

Built for Impact

From airtime to all-terrain, the QUAKE's all-oil-filled coil-over shocks, adjustable ride height, and wide-stance long-arm suspension are engineered for hardcore bashing. A sealed metal-gear differential and heavy-duty transmission transfer power with confidence, making it perfect for dirt, gravel, pavement, or anywhere you dare to drive. This suspension and drivetrain combo absorbs abuse and delivers reliable performance wherever you unleash it.

Great 2wd monster truck. Reminds me of my Gorgon, but with more power. I have a 2wd VORTEKS that I upgraded to brushless with the same motor and ESC, but I think the Quake is more fun. I ordered the purple and pink livery and it is very striking, the best color option in my opinion. I'm happy to see that the body roll that makes the gorgon so much fun to drive was carried over to the Quake. I'm glad that they came out with it, as I was planning on upgrading the Gorgon to brushless, but I see little reason to now, as the motor, esc and pinion need to be upgraded as the motor shaft is larger on the brushless and a 3660 is needed to clear the depth of the motor compartment. I've put about three 2s and 3s 5000 batteries through it and nothing has broken, even after lawn darting it into the ground a few times from 10' in the air. Solid Arrma reliability.

Awesome basher! It's surprisingly fast and easy to control. Handles well for 2wd and handles rough terrain very well. Very stable wheelies and a blast to run. My one complaint would be the braking it's not great.

Absolutely a blast to run! Fantastic platform thats super tough, easy to clean and makes battery swaps a breeze. I started with the 223s fury a couple months ago,and fell in love with its simple robust design. Now im all in on this platform, planning to add a vortex 223s 2wd to compete my collection. This 2wd Quake with its stability control on easily outperforms my Granite 4x4 in just about every way. I only run on 2s,i simply dont need anything faster than 40mph. Highly recommend, just buy, bash and smile.

I'm not much of a 2wd fan being that most of my time is spent off road. But this thing really impressed me how well it handles rough terrain and even some medium height grass. It has way more power and speed than my gorgon even after putting a hobby wing bl10 motor and ESC in it. I'd say it's hard to beat for the price. It looks good, the body is much tougher than the gorgon and the color schemes are fantastic. The only drawback I've noticed is the battery compartment is very limiting on battery choices and quite difficult to use when you don't have the exact spectrum battery. A small problem for a great truck.

What reviewers say

Reviewers, all verified owners of the purple variant, overwhelmingly praise the Quake 223S for handling, stability and fun, particularly for a 2WD monster truck, with several noting it outperforms other Arrma and Traxxas-style 2WD and 4WD models they own. Durability and bashing toughness are frequently mentioned as strengths. Recurring criticisms are weak braking and a battery compartment that limits battery choice, with one reviewer reporting the ESC connector cap must be removed or the battery routed differently to fit. One lower-rated review reports stock plastic hex drive pins spinning and stripping wheels on 3S power, suggesting metal hexes or an axle extension upgrade. Overall the reviews are strongly positive with a few practical caveats about power handling and fit.

  • + Handling and stability
  • + Fun to drive for a 2WD
  • + Tough and durable bashing
  • + Strong power and speed on 3S
  • − Weak braking
  • − Limited battery compartment fit
  • − Stock plastic hexes can spin on 3S
