Advanced Electronics & Brushless Power
The Typhon 223S BLX comes equipped with high-quality Spektrum electronics, including a powerful 3100kV brushless motor and an 80A two-in-one ESC and receiver unit that's water resistant for reliable performance on any terrain. This setup enables exceptional speeds on a 2S battery and even higher top speed thrills with 3S power, giving you control over how fast you go. With Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) offering four selectable modes, drivers can benefit from automated steering corrections on various surfaces, increasing control and confidence.
Heavy-Duty Drivetrain & Center Differential
Built tough for bashing, the Typhon 223S BLX features a super-strong 4x4 drivetrain with a center differential and metal gears to ensure durability under extreme conditions. I have several RC cars, but this is the first buggy I have purchased. After quite a bit of research, I definitely believe the ARRMA Typhon 223S was the right choice. This thing absolutely grabs and goes. It glides over rough terrain and takes jumps like it was built for Baja 500 racing. It stays surprisingly composed in the air and has handled my less-than-perfect landings without complaint. It's also just as much fun on pavement, where drifting is easy to control and it has plenty of power and speed to keep things entertaining. Durability has been impressive. I didn't buy this thing to baby it, and I have already beat the hell out of it with jumps, crashes, dirt, gravel, and full-throttle runs. So far, nothing has broken. Also worth mentioning is the push-button body removal. After years of dealing with body clips, this may be one of my favorite features. The Typhon 223S has quickly become one of the best and most fun RC vehicles I've purchased to date. Five stars, and I've definitely given it plenty of opportunities to earn less.
This is a very good "first rig". I drive it around an outdoor 8th scale dirt track. Once you've change out the tires for some TZOs, this is a very capable buggy. It could clear the triple jumps and the motor is fast enough to have fun. The buggy is also very durable and can withstand some big crashes. I prefer this buggy over any Traxxas product. You can't beat the price for what you can get out of this rig. This rig is also highly upgradable with lots of aftermarket support for improvement.
