About the Typhon 223S BLX

Advanced Electronics & Brushless Power

The Typhon 223S BLX comes equipped with high-quality Spektrum electronics, including a powerful 3100kV brushless motor and an 80A two-in-one ESC and receiver unit that's water resistant for reliable performance on any terrain. This setup enables exceptional speeds on a 2S battery and even higher top speed thrills with 3S power, giving you control over how fast you go. With Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) offering four selectable modes, drivers can benefit from automated steering corrections on various surfaces, increasing control and confidence.

Heavy-Duty Drivetrain & Center Differential

Built tough for bashing, the Typhon 223S BLX features a super-strong 4x4 drivetrain with a center differential and metal gears to ensure durability under extreme conditions. The all-metal gear differential efficiently transfers power to the wheels, enhancing traction and stability during high-speed runs. This drivetrain is engineered to endure challenging terrains, while the center differential distributes power evenly, providing the ideal balance for buggy performance.

Durable Design & Aggressive Styling

The Typhon 223S BLX is designed to handle tough terrains while looking sharp with its aggressive short course body. Its impact-absorbing composite bumpers, strong composite nerf bars, and high side guards protect the Buggy from impacts and debris. The hidden body retention system and clipless body design offer easy access to the internals while keeping the body securely in place, so you can bash without worry.

Jason NimzVerified owneron Arrma Typhon 223S 1/8 BLX Brushless RTR 4WD Buggy (Yellow)

Good build quality. Fit and finish are acceptable. Decent value for the money. Reduced by 1 star because the rear end of the Typhon 223s I received came with many/most of the screws in the rear gear box/shock tower already stripped out. It seems that someone had a little too heavy a torque setting during assembly that day. Working with Arrma to get this part replaced.

I bought this Typhon 223s for my wife as a Valentines Day gift. For someone wanting to get into 1/8 scale buggies this is the car. You get a lot of car for the little money. Being an ol RC’er with a few speed runs cars I personally went with the Typhon 6S. Another lot of car for the money.

What reviewers say

Four verified owners rate the Arrma Typhon 223S 1/8 BLX Brushless RTR buggy (Yellow) between 4 and 5 out of 5. Reviewers generally praise its build quality, handling, power on a 3S LiPo, and value for money, with one describing it as a good entry point into 1/8 scale. One reviewer reduced their rating after finding many screws in the rear gearbox and shock tower already stripped, which they attributed to overtightening at assembly, and said they were working with the manufacturer on a replacement part. Another reviewer had not yet driven the car outdoors, so their rating reflects build quality rather than on-track performance. One review mentions a Typhon 6S as a higher-end alternative, but no reviewer rated that model here.

  • + Good build quality
  • + Handles well
  • + Strong power on 3S
  • + Good value for money
  • − Stripped screws in rear gearbox and shock tower on one unit
  • − Limited track feedback so far
