Tuned Chassis & Body
The included aluminum TLR Tuned chassis features cutouts to decrease weight while allowing for good chassis flex. The factory-finished body showcases a bold racing color scheme, setting the TLR Tuned Typhon apart from other Typhon models and gives it a distinctive and competitive appearance.
Tuned Steering
The steering system of the TLR Tuned Typhon is a critical component for precise control and maneuverability, both on the racetrack and during intense off-road sessions. Tuned Suspension

Even though I didn't purchase this from Amain the positive reviews I read here and the YouTube videos convinced me that this was the affordable way to get into the 1/8 buggy class at the outdoor track. I do own the Typhon V5 6s so I was already familiar with the Typhon and its mannerisms. This buggy takes it to another level. The manual alone will help you with why you need to do this or that to accommodate your driving style and track. It comes with the accessories to change the setup. I took it to the track for the first time (10-23-2023) and it was amazing out of the box. The only thing I did was swap out the tires for Proline Convicts. The tires hooked up but still allowed me to power slide into the corners. Running the buggy on 4s for track use is plenty (Probably the limit for 1/8 vehicles). As of right now I have no intentions of running 6s and bashing it since I have my other Typhon for that.
My 10yo son wanted to try out 1/8 buggy racing so I got one of these as it should be a bit more durable than other racers. So far it’s been bullet proof, reliable, fast, and competitive! Fantastic buggy and would 100% buy another. Another plus is you can slap on some basher tires and hit some jumps!

Very nice buggy: solid and well-built. Plenty of tuning options. Fairly decent aftermarket upgrades available, as well. No issues, thus far. Very quick and nimble on 4S LiPo. Note: Included Spektrum ESC has 2 BEC options -- 6v or 7.4v. Factory setting is 7.4v. I was hoping for up an 8.4v option but will probably have to use an external BEC to accomplish that. As well, the stock Spektrum servo and servo horn in this kit are 25T (teeth). So, if you purchase an upgraded Spektrum servo to replace the stock one (like I did), you will also need to purchase the 23T Arrma servo horn.
