About the Vorteks 223S BLX 2WD

Intuitive Control

The Vorteks 223S BLX 2WD includes the Spektrum™ SLT2 2.4GHz radio system, designed to make your driving experience smooth and manageable, no matter your skill level. One of its standout features is the throttle limiting switch, which lets you cap power output to 50%, 75%, or full power. This gives beginner drivers the ability to grow at their own pace, minimizing the risk of losing control. Complementing this is Spektrum's integrated Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), which assists with steering corrections on slippery or uneven surfaces. With four selectable modes, DSC helps maintain control when traction is low, allowing you to focus on learning technique while the system supports your stability.

Reliable Power

Under the body, the Vorteks 223S 2WD is equipped with a Spektrum 3660 4000kV brushless motor paired with a water-resistant SLT 2-in-1 45A ESC and Receiver. This system is built for long-lasting performance and can handle both 2S and 3S LiPo batteries, giving you room to grow without needing to upgrade the powertrain. The electronics are sealed against the elements, so rain, mud, and dust won't keep you from hitting the track or trail.

Durability Meets Versatility

Built to withstand rough terrain and heavy use, the Vorteks 223S 2WD features a tough composite chassis, heavy-duty transmission, and oil-filled coil-over shocks. Its wide all-terrain suspension and high-traction dBoots tires allow you to run on grass, dirt, asphalt, or gravel with ease. Multi-spoke wheels and impact absorbing bumpers add resilience, while the clipless body retention system makes battery swaps fast and convenient. Adjustable ride height and a high-downforce wing help tune your performance to the terrain, giving you total control over your setup.

I have been in the hobby for over 150 years and own every model. This is the definition of fun. This is how every rc should be - fast, durable, blast to drive and easy to work on. It wheelies on demand. This car made me miss 2wd so much. I liked it so much I bought the Quake as well. Although the Quake has a more durable body and a little more ground clearance I have to say I like driving this one more because of the lower center of gravity CG which provides better handling and rolls less. I also purchased a pair of gorgon tires for it which gives a monster truck feel/look but keeps the handling. I believe all the parts are transferable between them besides the shock towers/body mounts, the shocks, and body. The only thing I like about the Quake better is it has a thicker body and also has "Arrma Armour" plastic rock texture which helps with body durability during hard bashing. If you buy this and bash hard, you may want to spray Flex Seal under the body, although the body itself is still pretty tough. This is 45A 2-1 Rx/ESC combo but haven't had any issues with it, if I ever do end up running it on a really hot day hard driving I'll just put a smaller pinion on it. After a few packs of massive air I ended up braking the rear shock and stripped a spur but that was well deserved. The only downside AT ALL about this truck is you need a hard pack for this, as the inside of the battery compartment has uneven screw mounts coming from the top that wear into the battery and if you have a soft pack it will puncture/rub through your battery causing a fire. Use a hard pack and can possibly put a cushion on those lugs in the compartment to help. I run a 6200 130c hard case and it fits perfectly, but you need to mount the controller back using double sided tape and longer screws and run the battery wires up through the compartment. Safety first, store your batteries in a fireproof container at recommended storage voltage.
