Avid RC 1/8 Exhaust Gasket (5)
About this part
This is a pack of five Avid RC 1/8 Scale Exhaust Gaskets. Avid gaskets come in a tube of 5 and are used to create a safe seal on .21/.28 engines where the exhaust port of the engine meets the header of the exhaust. Another gasket is typically used further down the line where the header then meets the exhaust pipe. It is very vital to have gaskets in good solid condition. A torn gasket can lead to tuning issues, possibly glitching on older radio systems, and the worst case scenario of dust getting sucked into the engine and scratching your sleeve and eating your bearings.
Avid gaskets are softer than the majority of gaskets on the market in order to great a solid seal between the two parts. If there is any leaking from a hard gasket you are introducing cold air into the flow of exhaust which will mean a loss in efficiency which could possibly lead to loss of power and fuel mileage. It is unlikely that anyone will be able to tell the difference but you can rest assured that there is no chance of this happening. Because of the softer material it is important to not overheat your engine 280f+ and if you do it will always be smart to check your gaskets.

Works great I was apprehensive at first but after first use I'm sold I will be buying more of this in the future 😊😊 good price to
These are the best looking / packaged gaskets i've found, BUT, they DO NOT LAST. I haven't had them last longer than 1 club race. they work great while they stay in 1 piece but they break down too fast.
These are probably good if your motor isn't running 280 deg. Just as good as china ones, replace every qualifier... both would get soft and rip needing replacement.
the best gasket you can buy! you can't go wrong with this! can last a whole season + practice! thumbs up to AVID for making this gasket!
Still look and perform like new after 4 months of racing at track. Avid are one of the best brands just quality
Reviewers of the Avid RC 1/8 Exhaust Gasket (5) are largely positive, with most praising fit, appearance and value, and several rating them 5/5. Durability is the main point of disagreement: some owners report the gaskets lasting a full season or four months of racing, while two reviewers say they soften and tear within one club race or under high engine temperatures around 280 degrees. Overall sentiment is favourable, but the reviews are few and the lifespan reports vary considerably.
