Perfectly flat, smooth and the right dimensions for my setup. This was cheaper than ordering generic sheet of carbon fiber. The only improvements I can think of are would be nice to have a protective cover of some sort and the company name is engraved on one side which doesn't get in the way so not a problem.
Not made from solid carbon fiber. I purchased one of these pit boards about a year ago direct from avid. This board is made from a pieces of fiberglass with a very thin carbon fiber sheet on the top and bottom. I have raced oval cars for years which use solid carbon fiber chassis so I know how stiff this material should be. Do not buy this for a setup board.
Very nice board. Flat and solid. Edges are nice and smooth. Perfect size for 1/8 Buggy. Probably need to go with next size up for truggy.
Great board! Very flat and very rigid. Unfortunately there is a slice mark on it from something sharp.
very nice piece of carbon fiber, seems to remain flat and true. maybe one layer thicker for more durability with the larger scale cars 1/8 scale.
Reviewers generally describe the board as flat, smooth, and well sized for 1/8 scale buggies, with several noting it is a good value compared with buying generic carbon fiber sheet. One reviewer reports it is not solid carbon fiber but fiberglass with thin carbon skins, citing stiffness concerns based on prior experience with oval car chassis; this claim is not corroborated by other reviews. Other points raised include a slice mark on one board, a suggestion for a protective cover, and a view that a larger size or thicker layer would suit truggies or larger scales.
- + Flat and smooth surface

- + Good value compared with generic carbon sheet
- + Rigid and solid feel
- − Reported to be fiberglass with thin carbon skins rather than solid carbon
- − Surface damage (slice mark) on one board
- − No protective cover included
- − Possibly too small for truggy or larger scales
