About the SCX10 III Coyote
Chassis & Body
The Coyote is built on the proven, realistic Axial SCX10 III platform. Its one-piece steel C-channel chassis is easy to work on, reduces frame flexing, and increases the precision of suspension movement. Created by Pro-Line, the factory-painted Coyote polycarbonate body offers more than trail- and comp-ready looks. It mounts without any body clips and can be completely removed for easy chassis access. The body is contoured to slip through obstacles and allow ample tire clearance and suspension articulation.
Suspension & Drivetrain
The competition-style composite smooth body shocks improve tire clearance and provide smooth, predictable handling over any terrain. These pro-inspired shocks combine the right amount of support and droop. The SCX10 III Coyote’s multi-link, solid axle suspension features 6mm stainless steel links and all-metal pivot balls for off-road durability. AR45P portal axles increase the SCX10 III Coyote’s ground clearance at the differential for easier off-road handling. The front axle features overdrive gears to improve climbing performance and maneuverability.
Electronics
The Coyote’s factory-installed brushed power system features a 35T Axial 540 motor and waterproof Spektrum 40A ESC. A metal geared Spektrum S664 servo is included for strong, dependable steering. The included Spektrum SLT2 transmitter is designed to help all drivers succeed on the trails. Its throttle limiting feature can limit the rig's maximum available speed to 50% or 75% until you're ready for it all. Four AA batteries are included.

Opened the truck yesterday and must say I really like the clipless system. Overall the truck is a clean design. Love the tires. Don't like shocks and mounts. Need more options built it to lower it. Motor is OK for crawling but I'm just used to brushless FOC. I'll give it a chance. I'd buy it again at the sale price. Was $110 off. And always I give the highest praise to AMAIN. They always answer the phone unlike the crappy HH
Haven’t gotten a chance to run it much. But the times I have run it have been amazing! Extremely capable right out of the box! Not a big fan of the tires being glued, would love to throw them on some bead locks without a lot of extra work to try and clean the glue off.
This machine is amazing - received tons of comments on how nice it is coming stock. Did amazing on the climb and kicks up dirty when you moved it up to top speed.
My biggest crawler yet! WOW What a blast to actually have AND drive this rig. Absolutely love the squishy and grippy tires on this bad boi. This truck slides through obstacles like butter.Motor has PLENTY of power. Looking for new crawl spots. ???
Car itself is nice but the battery that comes with it has a problem, until now I'm still waiting if they're going to send me a replacement or not.
Five verified owners rated the Axial SCX10 III Coyote Gold RTR crawler between 3 and 5 stars. Reviewers generally praise its out-of-box capability on climbs, its clean design, and its grippy, squishy tires, with one describing the drive as strong and another noting the motor has plenty of power. Some reviewers found the motor adequate for crawling but less capable than brushless FOC systems. Recurring criticisms include glued-on tires that are hard to remove for bead lock conversion, dissatisfaction with the shocks and mounts, and a desire for more lowering or upgrade options. One reviewer reported a problem with the bundled battery and was still awaiting a replacement at the time of review. Reviews are few, so coverage is limited.
