About the SCX24
Drivetrain
The capable drivetrain is made from all molded components. The axles use a worm-gear drive with the input above the main differential gear. This design helps to ensure that the terrain does not impact driving. The links are made from a soft nylon and allow for some flex leading to great durability.
Electronics
Powering this SCX24 is an 88T motor and all-in-one ESC/Receiver controller. The included 2S LiPo battery and charger allows for easy charging and use. The transmitter allows for steering trim adjustments and different speed modes. Grab this epic truck and be King of the Mountain!
Body
The body is made from ABS and includes many molded features. Also included is a bed rack with extra scale detail. Inner front fenders add scale detail and help keep the electronics hidden. The body is hinged to allow easy access to the electronics. With two paint schemes to choose from, this Dodge power wagon is ready to hit the trail.

let me start by saying this review doesnt have anything to do with amain. they have great customer service and fast shipping. this is all about how crappy this axial truck is. it is serverly under powered and top heavy. doesnt take much angle and its on its side! this is suppose to be a crawler? my bone stock FMS fcx 24 smokes this truck in every way! for the same money!!!! i decided to do all the brass upgrades($135) to try and keep it from toppling over and it still has the same low angle fall over point! the only reason i gave it 2 stars is because the power wagon body does look pretty cool. do yourself a favor and get the FMS fcx24 its an awesome little crawler!
Like the truck as is stock, but the battery. I found difficult to disconnect without damaging the plug. So I got an extension male 2pin jst to female 2pin jst 70mm and leave that in the receiver, and it's easer. to unplug the battery from the other end.
Love it!! Works good right out the box. Great detailed body.
I wish it came with the power cord for the battery to connect the battery and the ESC but I just plugged the battery directly into it the ESC I don’t know if the manufacturer just forgot to add the adapter or what and my rear axle and frame move a crazy amount side to side almost like every time I turn the steering, the rear axle slides so far that one tire is tucked under while the other one is completely outside of the fender this is on complete flat ground when this happens . It just shifts way too much. I tightened up the links that helped a little bit, but the rear four links are like rubber they should be a little bit harder plastic it’s almost like when you take plastic and heat it up, and it turns rubbery??????? but other than that, I like the looks of it and I like the trailer
This is my third 1/24 crawler, and I'm impressed with how capable it is out of the box. The Power Wagon is a great little rig for crawling over rocks and other obstacles. The only upgrade I want to make is getting some weight down low by adding some brass wheels.
Reviewers generally praise the detailed Power Wagon body, out-of-box readiness and fun off-road running, with several noting good performance on rocks and obstacles. Opinions diverge on capability: one owner calls it underpowered and top-heavy, saying it topples at low angles even after brass upgrades, and recommends a competitor. Recurring points include a difficult battery connector (one owner used an extension lead) and one owner reporting excessive rear axle and frame movement on steering, which they partly fixed by tightening links and feel the rear links are too soft. Several reviews are brief and do not address stability or durability in detail.
- + Detailed scale body
- + Works well out of the box
- + Capable over rocks and obstacles
- + Smooth, fun off-road running
- − Top-heavy, tips at low angles
- − Underpowered per one owner
- − Difficult battery connector
- − Excessive rear axle movement, soft rear links
