About this part
Small Scale Performance Just Got Smaller - Axial SCX30
Made for extreme scale performance, the Axial SCX30 Ford Bronco 1/30 is the next step in 4WD Mini Crawlers. Don't think this is just another micro crawler, this is a fully redesigned vehicle. With a 3-gear worm drive transmission, transverse motor, clipless hard body, factory tuning options, and so much more, this crawler brings big game to a small scale. No matter where you are crawling, desk or trail, the SCX30 gives you the platform you need to get out and have fun.
About the SCX30
Detailed Hard Body
This licensed Ford Bronco comes with detailed grille, molded headlights, roof rack, full size functional spare tire, molded fenders and so much more. The attention to detail is top notch. The headlights and tail lights are molded into the body and the chassis has the LED's attached to make the body easy to come off. ZERO body clips are used and the body comes off by pulling up on the front and sliding towards the rear.
Chassis & Tuning
This is not just a shrunk down SCX24, this chassis is molded from one piece with the skid plate being separate from the chassis. The transmission incorporates a transverse motor mount, meaning with the motor sideways, there is more front weight on the chassis. The transmission is a three-gear design with a worm-gear driving both front and rear axles. On top of the rear axle housing, double ball-ends are used, allowing you to adjust the driveshaft angle with ease. Multiple shock mounting holes on the chassis rails give you the adjustability to refine the suspension to your liking.
Electronics
The right side molded slider has been designed to hold the receiver, esc, and on/off button all in one. This gives a super clean and compact look. The battery sitting on the left side of the chassis helps to even the weight out in the chassis. The 88T brushed motor gives plenty of power to the transmission and allows for super smooth operation. An included Spektrum SLT2 transmitter allows for easy convenient control of the SCX30.

Axial SCX30 Bronco in the house…I mean in the box. I wasn’t looking for a new toy when this popped up in my video feed. Curious it was, small yet seemingly capable. Every reviewer seemed to be agog for it. I like to play with my RC cars, they’re toys. I like building them, though I’m not an accomplished builder or RC expert. Still, it never occurred to me to buy a ready-to-run since building is half the fun. If often find myself in the back country on my motorcycle and thinking – this would be a fun place to run an RC rock crawler. Alas, that’s impractical, until now – now that Axial introduced the SCX30! The sub-$100 price just squeaked under my toy budget threshold, so I bought one. After watching all the glowing reviews, my expectations were higher than the price point. In short, this little rig well exceeded my expectations. I’m genuinely amazed at how capable, competent, and well-designed it is. FUN TO RUN! From a business perspective, I think Axial hit a homerun. This isn’t just a “kids’” toy. There is plenty here for serious rock crawler type RC enthusiasts to appreciate. What might be a boring patch of dirt to a 1:10 scale crawler could be a veritable playground to a 1:30 scaler. Insert perspective adjustment here. If Axial introduces a range of body styles, there will be plenty of repeat customers building their 1:30 scale fleets. As for the little, padded, hard-case box – this thing is coming with me on my next back country ride ?
Super capable tiny truck. Would definitely buy again.
Fantastic kit and a whole lot of fun for indoor crawling. Just trim the little notches on the side of the battery before you plug it in the first time, otherwise it is very difficult to unplug it. there are videos out there that show you how to do this. Amain customer service was fantastic. Great experience all around.
Honestly I love best mini crawler I've had so far the traxxas trx4m is good but this is just great it drives great crawls great and just overall was worth the 100 bucks it was for the crawler would definitely buy again!!!
Great little truck. Very capable out of the box for its size. My son and I are having a blast with them.
Nine verified owners rated the Axial SCX30 Bronco 1/30 Blue RTR 5 out of 5. Reviewers consistently describe it as capable for its small size, fun to drive both indoors and outdoors, and good value under about $100. Several mention it is easy for children to use and that customer service from the seller was helpful. One reviewer recommends trimming notches on the battery before first use, as it is otherwise hard to unplug. A minor complaint is that the tiny screws are difficult to handle with larger fingers. Reviews are uniformly positive, though the set is small and mostly brief.
