Made for extreme scale performance, the Axial SCX30 Jeep Wrangler JLU 1/30 is the next step in 4WD Mini Crawlers. Don't think this is just another micro crawler, this is a fully redesigned vehicle. With a 3-gear worm drive transmission, transverse motor, clipless hard body, factory tuning options, and so much more, this crawler brings big game to a small scale. No matter where you are crawling, desk or trail, the SCX30 gives you the platform you need to get out and have fun.
About the SCX30
Detailed Hard Body
This licensed Jeep Wrangler JLU comes decked out with removable recovery boards, removable scale shovel, axe, and jack, full size functional spare tire, molded fenders and so much more. The attention to detail is top notch. The headlights and tail lights are molded into the body and the chassis has the LED's attached to make the body easy to come off. ZERO body clips are used and the body comes off by pulling up on the front and sliding towards the rear.
Chassis & Tuning
This is not just a shrunk down SCX24, this chassis is molded from one piece with the skid plate being separate from the chassis. The transmission incorporates a transverse motor mount meaning with the motor sideways, there is more front weight on the chassis. The transmission is a three-gear design with a worm-gear driving both front and rear axles. On top of the rear axle housing, double ball-ends are used, allowing you to adjust the driveshaft angle with ease. Multiple shock mounting holes on the chassis rails give you the adjustability to refine the suspension to your liking.
Electronics
The right side molded slider has been designed to hold the receiver, esc, and on/off button all in one. This gives a super clean and compact look. The battery sitting on the left side of the chassis helps to even the weight out in the chassis. The 88T brushed motor gives plenty of power to the transmission and allows for super smooth operation. An included Spektrum SLT2 transmitter allows for easy convenient control of the SCX30.

I was completly on the fence about getting one for years and finally bought it, and it does not disapoint. Out of the box performance is incredible for its size, the body is a tough ABS and the green is much better looking in person. The factory tires are more than capable in its stock form, the weight is biased towards the front but in a good way making things almost easy to get over. Honestly for a hair under 100$ you cant go wrong with this so far no issues, cant wait to add some low down weight and simple mods because it doesnt need much?
