The BowHouse RC TRX-4 High Clearance Skid V2 offers 4mm of additional ground clearance in critical areas compared to the stock skid. Plus, the skid is designed with smoother surfaces and improved angles for increased performance sliding over roots and rocks. Skid is printed in ultra strong, high-resolution nylon, and package includes necessary hardware required for installation. See installation notes below.
Installation Notes:
- Reuse stock hardware in stock locations EXCEPT as follows:
- (a) use M3x8 FHCS under front of skid to attach transmission (replaces stock M3x10 BHCS)
- (b) use M3x16 BHCS to attach front lower links (replaces stock M3x15 BHCS)
- (c) use M3x8 BHCS to attach right rear of transmission (replaces stock M3x10 BHCS)
- (d) use M3x30 BHCS to attach rear upper links (replaces stock M3x25 BHCS)
- Completely remove side tray on right side before installing N2R skid
- Install front upper link in N2R skid BEFORE securing the skid to the chassis with the remaining 6 screws.
- Make sure the front upper link screw is properly aligned with the receiving hole in the skid opposite the chassis rail before tightening the front upper link screw all the way.
- Tighten all screws by hand and be careful not to overtighten. Use of power drivers may result in stripping out screw holes and/or cracking in the N2R skid.

Good product, tight screws holes because it's a newly printed part.
This skid made a way bigger improvement than I anticipated. Now instead of high centering and getting stuck I can slide over way more terrain now. Definitely recommend
Just installed this on my Trx4 Defender. Wow! You don’t realize how cheesy the stock part is until you have the BowHouse skid in your hand to compare What an improvement! Instillation is pretty straightforward, just take your time.
Good product, install wasn't bad just take your time. Performace was good, no hang ups on obstacles. It will show wear and tear but thats part of the game. Gives the vehicle a scale looking wear pattern on the underside.
