Great construction and sizing. However if you want to fit it into a mega truck like the king sling or bog hog then your going to need to ream out frame holes and also have a stash of metric nuts because there is no header to drive the screw into and the kit does not provide any. A couple nuts in the bag would make this a universal fit product across the LMT line (not mini). The angle the tray puts the battery on places the case right near the motor which doesn’t sit well with me on initial looks but in reality is fine.
Works great and tucks the battery nice and low. I can even use my 4s MaxAmps UDR battery. The strap is a little too short the 4s but that’s easily fixed. Wonderful product! :-)
The best(well, the only…) low CG battery tray for the LMT. Excellent machining and figment.
Reviewers generally praise the tray's construction, machining and fit, and say it lowers the battery's centre of gravity on the Losi LMT. Two reviewers rate it 5/5, one rates it 3/5. The main recurring issue is fitment on mega-truck frames such as the King Sling or Bog Hog: the frame holes may need reaming and the kit includes no nuts for the screw, so metric nuts must be supplied separately. One reviewer notes the battery sits close to the motor, which they found initially concerning but acceptable in use. One reviewer found the strap too short for a 4S battery, which they said was easy to fix.
