Excellent motor mount! Lightweight, offers excellent stability and mounting, bolt on, and includes motor support for smaller motors. A+++
Installed this into my XMAXX with an off-brand 56mm motor and a Max 6. I was very grateful for the guidance that Bowhouse gives regarding gearing and now the Xmaxx is faster than ever. Plus, with the big can and 8S, everything stays ice cold. The center of gravity hasn't even been effected that much. I couldn't ask for a better solution. As always, Amain's customer service was impeccable.
This is a perfect motor mount. Super simple to use. Suggest buying the risers with it so you can use 1.5 gears
Very well designed and sturdy mount but wouldn’t allow me to use my mod 1.5 20/35 gears on my x-maxx as it was just too tight so I returned.
Cannot express how perfect of a motor mount this is. From the amazing quality, light weight design, perfect rock solid 360 support for the motor, and the reasonable gearing options, will recommend this motor mount to be used in each and every xmaxx and xrt. You WILL NOT REGRET IT. Handles 12S power like a champ, with a total of ZERO broken gears or motors after 4 years of abuse
Seven verified owners rated this Black BowHouse motor mount for the Traxxas X-Maxx 4.5 to 5 out of 5 on average, with two 4-star ratings. Reviewers consistently describe it as lightweight, sturdy, and well supported, with simple bolt-on installation and motor support for smaller motors. Several note good gearing options, including use with 1.5 module gears, though one 4-star reviewer found a 1.5 mod 20/35 gear set too tight and returned the product. Reviewers reported using it with 46/27 and other gearing, 56mm and 5687 or 5690 class motors, and high-voltage packs up to 12S. One reviewer reported no broken gears or motors over four years of use. The main recurring criticism is price, with one reviewer suggesting it should cost closer to $70.
