Im using this for the Axial Ryft with a Treal center skid plate. Not a perfect fit with the Treal skid plate but I knew that going into the purchase. After the mods I made to the plate this Castle works great. It's a beast.
The Monster 2 ESC performs as well as a Monster X or Hobbywing MAX8. My oldest monster 2 is 10 years old and is still in use. I use mine for a 4s 1/8 scale. The V2 1515 motor has a tight power band and is really responsive. The latest combo I purchased is sitting in a Tekno MT48 2.0 and I really like it a lot. I highly recommend the Monster 2 / 1515 combo.
If you want controllable power it's a big win if you want uncontrollable power its a win I put it on a hyper 7 that was nitro in its previous life running 6s with 21t pinion its sad to say it will only be in one crash if it's ever in one this is not for novice drivers 5 stars across the board!
I love this esc/motor combo. I have several of these esc/motors in different vehicles and they work great all the time every time. I am super happy with the performance, power and longevity they put out. I run them in my truggy and 1/8th scale monster trucks on 4s. I also have a couple version 1 combos that are still working great in some of my older trucks I have had for years. I think Castle creations make some great electronics and have been very happy using their stuff for many years.
