This is the Castle Creations Sidewinder 3 WP 1/10 ESC and Brushless Motor Combo, including a Neu-Castle 1406 5700kV Brushless and Sensored Motor. Castle’s Sidewinder ESC is now waterproof! The Sidewinder 3 can power crawlers on water filled trails, AWD's in rain soaked parking lots, and SCT's on adventures through muddy fields. Drivers can now give in to those irresistible urges to drive in the mud or rip through puddles without damaging their ESC.

The Sidewinder 3 is a great fit for 1/10th off-road, on-road, and rock crawlers running up to 3S LiPo. It features updated circuitry for faster response time and improved reliability. As always, the Sidewinder 3 offers industry-leading software functions and USB programming capability via Castle Link USB adapter (sold separately).

This motor rips. I installed it in a 1/10 Stadium truck with a Hobbywing QuicRun QR10BL120 120A Sensored Brushless ESC. Smooth as silk when paired with a Sensored ESC. It's blindingly quick for my application. My punch control, timing, and slipper had to be adjusted to keep the truck from losing traction or pulling wheelies when being aggressive with the trigger. Even with it turned down, I never worry about clearing any long jumps. If you're not worried about track applications and focus more on bashing, the Castle ESC that comes with the combo will be just fine.
These Castle kits are perfect. What a bargain. Even though you can’t run sensored with a sidewinder 3, you can also switch to brushed very easily. I run these kits in rerelease Tamiya and Kyosho kits and they are perfect
I purchased sidewinder 3 for and old RC10T3 as an upgrade . The motor was Sensored but the ESC was not . I called the company and they were great . I returned it and purchased the mamba x . This one has the sensored ESC . No hassle on returns at all . Looking forward to doing more business with this company.
Powerful and customizable. However it seems cheaply made. The rotor is unbalanced in mine. The motor and esc overheat easily. Castle customer service is nonexistant. Can't even get them to call me back.
