Easily swapped out for the open differential. When I swapped out the stock diff, it was showing a lot of wear after less then an hour of use. Including maybe 10 minutes of towing a trailer with a SCX10 III loaded. If you want to keep an open diff, consider upgrading to the hardened metal set. I'm going to upgrade the open front diff.

Nice quality light weight but axle stripped out aluminum on first run looks like not enough flat spot for axle

Save your 8 bucks driver side stripped out with in 20 yards on the trail the stock open diff is better than this locked diff

What reviewers say

Reviewers report that the aluminum locker is light and of reasonable quality, and that it fits by swapping out the stock open differential. However, all four reviews are critical of durability and fit. Multiple owners say the axle stripped out or wore quickly, with one reporting heavy wear after under an hour of use including towing. Another reviewer noted the center hole lacked an adequate flat edge for the axle, which they believed caused the failure. One reviewer stated the stock open differential performed better. Reviews are few, and the failures appear consistent across them, though the exact cause is not confirmed.

  • + Lightweight construction
  • + Good build quality
  • + Easy swap for open differential
  • − Axle stripping or wear
  • − Center hole lacks adequate flat edge
  • − Failed quickly in use
  • − Reported worse than stock open diff
