About this part

This is a "BumpSkid" for the Kyosho MP9 buggy from DE Racing. After countless hours of brainstorming and product development, DE Racing is proud to release the “BumpSkid”. This product combines a superior front skid plate with a refined front bumper to create the ultimate in protection, performance, and styling. DE Racing has always said they believe a car’s chassis is not a wear item. The “BumpSkid” further reinforces that concept by providing high performance protection for the front of your expensive 1/8 scale buggy or truggy chassis.

would not get until they update for TKI3. You will have to remove some material to get it to work. When I got it, DE knew nothing of this so I had to inform them of this. Customer service just expected me to mod the thing and move on.

Works great. Made for racing, not going backwards. No fitment necessary.

Good idea but I give a 3 stars because when you go backwards, some grass or dirt is trapped under the skid... the fixing could have been better designed.

What reviewers say

Reviewers give mixed feedback on the DE Racing BumpSkid for the Kyosho MP9. One verified owner reports it did not fit the TKI3 setup without removing some material, and says the seller was unaware of the issue and offered no fix beyond modification. A second reviewer rates it 5/5, saying it works well for racing and needs no fitment. A third reviewer rates it 3/5, calling the concept good but noting that grass or dirt can become trapped under the skid when driving backwards. Fitment with the TKI3 and debris trapping are the recurring concerns. Only three reviews are available, so the picture is limited.
