amazing driver just like the 2mm one great for builds and working on smaller scales like 1/16 and those pinion gear grub screws

These are very nice 1.5mm hex drivers at an affordable price. The tips are tapered, similar to the E-Flite 1.5mm hex drivers. Tapered tips allow for easier insertion into the hex screws, yet have more "bite" than ball-end hex drives. Like with other 1.5mm medium quality hex drivers, I have stripped several of these from over-tightening. However, unlike other stripped 1.5mm hex drivers, these are much more economical to replace. I like this 1.5mm hex driver as much as the E-flite. I like it much better than the non-tapered tips of EXI and Hobby King. Of course, this 1.5mm hex driver does not compare in quality to the MIP, but it works well enough for lighter jobs.

What reviewers say

Reviewers of this 1.5mm hex driver disagree sharply on quality. One verified owner reported the tip broke on first use and advised against buying it. Another praised it for builds and small-scale work such as pinion grub screws, comparing it favourably to the 2mm version. A third found the tapered tips easy to insert with good grip, and said the tool is affordable and cheaper to replace than alternatives after stripping, though it does not match premium options and suits lighter jobs. Stripping under over-tightening is mentioned by that reviewer as a common issue across 1.5mm drivers.

  • + Tapered tip eases insertion into hex screws
  • + Good grip compared with ball-end drivers
  • + Affordable price
  • + Suited to small-scale builds and grub screws
  • − Tip broke on first use for one owner
  • − Tips can strip under over-tightening
  • − Not comparable in quality to premium drivers
  • − Best suited to lighter jobs
