About this part

The Dynamite 12V DC Nitro Engine Heater will properly pre-heat your .19-.32 size engine to 140-158˚F (60-70˚C) in approximately 10 minutes based on ambient temperatures. It helps to relieve the stress on the crank, connecting rod, piston and sleeve during warm-up. It will also help provide a smooth engine start, with reduced stress on your starter box. Fuel consumption will be reduced, as you do not have to spend time and fuel warming up and adjusting your engine. Additionally, a pre-heater will increase the life of your plug. It is also perfect for break-in, as it reduces the “pinch” on your new engine. This nitro engine heater will pay for itself many times over with increased engine life and performance!

Features:
  • MCU preheats and holds .19-.32 engines to the ideal 140-158°F (60-70°C) range.
  • Safety timer automatically turns power off after approximately 10 minutes of use.
  • 12V DC source with low voltage cutoff.
  • Built-in temperature sensor controls the output power
  • Blue LED indicator shows status of engine heater.
  • Fireproof and heat-resistant adjustable cover.
  • Access port on top allows you to start and easily monitor your engine's temperature
  • Fits all .19–32 RC Nitro surface engines. |
  • May be powered by 3S lithium batteries, DC power supplies, or 12V sources

Perfect.... Period Leave it on for 10 mins. 20.. Start your new motor. No excessive wear. It may smoke a bit while the rubber is new but it is VERY minimal and for 1 minute. Don't be alarmed.

If you do not use an engine heater you need to buy one ASAP! I would list a heater as an essential piece of gear, especially if you are using a pull start engine. Not only will it reduce excessive wear from cold starts but it will also make the engine much easier to start. It used to take me sometimes 10-15 pulls while the engine was cold to get it to start and now it only takes 1-2, prolonging the life the of the pull starter. It's annoying that someone took stars off because they "had to use a bunch of adapters" to get it to work with their battery. You can clearly see in the photo which connector it takes, They don't make a "one size fits all" connector and with the alligator clips you can make it work with virtually any battery connector, I typically use the clips on my EC5 connectors or just hook to my car battery if it's close.

Great product easy to use. Definitely helps with high compression motors and break-ins. I highly recommend the Dynamite nitro engine heater A+..,

Works great! Except for the fact that I have to use 2 different plug adapters so I can use it with my battery.

I used it for the first time. It almost caught on fire. I would post a picture if I can. I would like a refund.

What reviewers say

Reviewers largely praise the Dynamite Nitro Engine Heater 12V DC for making nitro engines easier to start, especially cold starts and break-ins, and for reducing pull-starter strain. Several note that a brief smoke or smell during first use is normal as the rubber breaks in. A recurring complaint is connector compatibility: one reviewer needed two plug adapters to power it from their battery, and another said the connector was not universal. One reviewer reported the unit nearly caught fire on first use and requested a refund, a single report that contrasts with the otherwise positive feedback.

  • + Makes cold starts easier
  • + Reduces wear on engine during break-in
  • + Helpful for high-compression motors
  • + Easy to use
  • − Needs adapters to connect to some batteries
  • − Connector not universal
  • − One report of near fire on first use
  • − Brief smoke during initial use
