This plane is an absolute blast. Fast, aerobatic and easy to fly. Get one and have some fun! A main has been rock solid in their customer service to me for years. Keep up the good work.
Nice looking little plane fun scale flyer needs a little help out of the box not bad easy radio setup for me anyway on 3s 8 mins easy Crouseing around
This one is a good flyer. I have the original Timber UMX, the Timber X UMX and this one. The Timber X is a better aerobat, but the longer nose on the turbo version lets you move the battery forward (and thus the CG) and makes for smoother flight. Also, I don't know if it's the three blade prop or better bearings in the motor, but the turbo version is extremely quiet (at least the one I have). Two thumbs up.
Love hate relationship with this aircraft. Pros, flies smooth as butter, cuts through the wind. Cons: flimsy landing gear, broke after a few hard landings. Rudder attached with thin tape, came off but easily fixed. Aileron servo locked up after 20mins of flight, waiting to see if I'm able to claim on the warranty.
Bought one as a second plane for my 9 year old. Very stable and easy to fly and land, but at the same time aerobatic and fun. If anything, it's too easy to fly - the kid got cocky flying inverted at low altitude and a bad crash resulted, which brings me to the next point- it is not all that easy to repair. Still, he saved all his money for parts and we got his beloved Turbo Timber Evolution flying again.
Reviewers generally describe this 700mm UMX Turbo Timber Evolution as fun, fast and easy to fly, with praise for its aerobatic ability and stability in flight; one reviewer found the longer nose and three-blade prop made it quieter and smoother than earlier Timber UMX models. Some reported it needs setup help out of the box. Recurring problems include a flimsy landing gear that broke after hard landings, a thin rudder tape that came loose, and repairs described as difficult after crashes. Two reviewers reported electronic faults: a servo locking up mid-flight and an elevator that intermittently failed during a maiden flight, with one reviewer seeking a customer service response. Ratings range from 1 to 5, with most being 5.
