About this part

The EcoPower 35x35x10mm Aluminum High Speed HV Cooling Fan is the ultimate cooling fan upgrade for Traxxas VXL-6S and VXL-8S, as well as Spektrum Firma Smart 150A speed controls that use a 35mm fan. This fan features a rigid aluminum housing that eliminates flex and helps to avoid broken fan blades. Additionally, a JST connector allows a direct connection to Traxxas ESC's that use the Traxxas TRA3475 35mm fan, but the package also includes a JST to 3 pin adaptor for connecting to Arrma and Spektrum ESC's that use the ARA390211, ARA390300 or SPMXSEF2 fan. Plus, these fans operate between 6.0v and 8.4V, and deliver much more air flow than the stock fans, and up to 20,000rpm.

Went through two esc fans with plastic housings on my kraton doing jumps. The fan blades break and/or the cheap plastic housing start collapsing in the sides onto the blades. Aluminum is a must if your bashing doing jumps, and so far this ecopower has held up. Hard to find a decent 35x35 fan so I was happy to come across this one.

they blow decent amount of air but i come to find out they dont last too long ,i had to replace 3 times,, each fan seem to last about a month on felony 6s and kraton 6s at 7.4v and thats regular pavement driving no bashing or dirt tracks ...and my traxxas max i use these fans on motor and esc and it seems to last at 6.0v ,, i havent replace not one on traxxas maxx ... maybe its a voltage issue running at 7.4 not sure ,,

These fans move a lot of air. A must have upgrade for the new hobby wing G2 max 6esc ( stock fan and thermostat setup is junk ) also a huge improvement over stock Xmaxx and XRT motor fans also put one on my Mojave 6s , fastens directly to the factory motor heat sink. Highly recommend these fans

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally praise the aluminum housing and strong airflow, with several reporting it fits Traxxas X-Maxx, Arrma and similar setups as a replacement for stock or plastic fans and that it has held up to bashing. Reviewers note it is louder than stock. One reviewer reported the fan lasted about a month on 6S (7.4V) packs, replacing it three times, while running at lower voltage on another vehicle without issues; that reviewer speculated voltage may be a factor. Another reviewer rated it 2/5 but described it as durable and worth the price. Overall sentiment is positive, with the durability concern coming from a single review.

  • + Aluminum housing holds up to bashing
  • + Strong airflow, improves motor temperatures
  • + Direct fit for Traxxas X-Maxx and Arrma
  • + Better than stock or plastic fans
  • − Louder than stock fan
  • − One reviewer's fan lasted about a month on 7.4V
  • − Reports of fan failure at higher voltage
