I bought this solely so I can bore out 1/10 scale shock pistons for TRF and Yokomo. The package was very nice and I did enjoy the presentation. …Right up until I opened the ENTIRE container and promptly spilled ALL of the drill bits onto the floor. Now after cleaning them up off the floor, I’d realized that there’s an actual slot that allows you to move over the bit you want/need to use and it’ll allow you to use ONLY that bit without worrying about the other bits. Hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20, sadly. My only real complaint with this is that I was never warned that the packaging was like that so now I have to re-organize them all again which is pretty tedious and made only worse when your calipers aren’t as accurate. I will say though that the bits ARE cut to staggered lengths to make it somewhat easier to know which bit is which but it’s not a true guarantee. Overall, I’m happy with this set though I definitely would like to see some improvements made to future sets. However for the price, beggars really can’t be choosers and I’ll likely end up buying another to replace this one in time. As for what my intended need was, this worked FLAWLESSLY in opening up the piston for the shocks in question to the size I wanted and did so really fast. The shock still feels awful but at least the piston moves much freer than it did previously.
Excellent set to have on hand. Price is good. Nice little case, as well.
