This servo is in my UTB10 Capra, replacing the Spektrum S683 front steering servo that I broke first week of use. At about 20-hours of hard crawling use, it's holding up - direct powered from the 'Hobbywing QuicRun Fusion Pro FOC 2-in-1 ESC & Motor System (2300Kv)'. I have a BEC to put in front of it, but so far that doesn't seem necessary.

Super low pro, stupid fast and strong at 8.4 no complaints it's a little gritty though, but is taking all the abuse like a champ in H10 Optic build.

I love this servo! It was a huge upgrade from stock and the low profile is exactly what I needed for the stubby conversion I did on my VRD stance. As always Amain got it to my house promptly and with good communication.

I had hopes for this servo. It has great power and stats, but only got one run in before the gears stripped out. AMain was very quick to send replacement gears since they have a lifetime warranty. However, considering my original experience, I’m hesitant about the long-term durability of the replacement gears.

Excellent servo, I have several of them now. I have 2 in my H10 optic for 4 wheel steering, and just bought this one for my tmaxx. For the price it is hard to beat. I am probably going to put them for the steering servos in all my rcs. I had a hard time finding one I liked. These are quiet, and strong. Not the strongest but strong enough. I run them at 7.4 volts and it gives me a quick response and stong enough to turn the tires but not so strong to break things. I basically know when I am in a bad bind when they don't turn the tires. I highly recommend them. I had also recommended this servo to a friend and he has them in a few of his cars now.

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally praise the WP715's speed, low profile and strength, with several noting quiet operation and good performance at 7.4V and 8.4V. Owners report use in Capra, H10 Optic, T-Maxx and LC Racing PTG2-R builds, and one notes the servo held up to jumps. Two reviewers report stripped gears within a few runs or packs, one of whom received replacement gears under a lifetime warranty and is uncertain about their durability. One reviewer found the servo slightly gritty but otherwise durable. Longevity is unclear for most owners, as several had used the servo only briefly.

  • + Fast response
  • + Low profile fit
  • + Quiet operation
  • + Strong for its size
  • − Gears stripped in early use
  • − Replacement gear durability uncertain
  • − Slightly gritty feel
  • − Price disappointing to one owner
