About the Enduro Comp Fox

Carbon Fiber Flat Rail Chassis

At the heart of the Enduro Comp Fox is its lightweight carbon fiber flat rail chassis. Paired with machined aluminum braces, this design provides both strength and rigidity while maintaining a low center of gravity. The chassis is packed with shock and link mounting positions, giving you unlimited suspension tuning options to adapt to any terrain and challenge.

High-Clearance Portal Axles

The freshly designed high-clearance portal axles on the Enduro Comp Fox are a game-changer for rock crawling. These axles provide nearly an inch more clearance than traditional straight axles, allowing you to tackle obstacles with ease. With all-metal gears and ball bearings, these axles are built for durability and precision, ensuring your crawler can handle the toughest trails without compromising performance.

Stealth X Transmission with Forward-Bias Motor Mount

The Enduro Comp Fox is equipped with the proven Stealth X transmission, featuring overdrive gears and a forward-bias aluminum motor mount. This configuration ensures optimal weight distribution with a targeted 60/40 balance, placing the motor's weight over the front axle for better control and traction on challenging terrains. This system delivers the power and precision you need to stay competitive.

K. Smithon Element RC Enduro Comp Fox Competition 1/10 4WD Rock Crawler Kit

Instruction manual is trash, missing parts through out the whole build. Put together and sit aside to work on body for it a couple days, when I got body done and ready to mount I noticed every screw on the kit was rusted! Contacted manufacturer to be told wd40 and wipe off the rust! Was comical honestly considering rig is brand new never run and stored in a climate controlled shop! Was a huge element fan…hints was. Being a big element rc fan is only reason I was able to complete kit without having to order parts that was supposed to be in kit that was missing. Artful Dodgers is amazing! He’s willing to help anyway possible and makes really awesome stuff. Will continue to support him but this will be the last dollar element rc ever gets from me!

I’ve been messing with this rig for 6 weeks and I have now replaced everything except the chassis. Two stars for the artful dodgers chassis and the shocks that could have been good if they came with all the correct parts. Everything else in the box is absolute garbage, especially the axles.

First off I did not purchase the Enduro Comp Fox from Amain Hobbies, I purchased the kit direct from Team Associated when the kit was first released. I'm leaving this comment because Team Associated does not have a comment section and in hopes to save others the headache and money. I have built over a dozen rock crawlers including five Element Enduro GateKeeper kits. I wish I had not purchased this kit, by far it is the worse kit I have ever purchased and this kit should have never been released. Here are some of the issues: 1. Transmission mount (mounting holes are too small) 2. Some screws missing or are the wrong size 3. Shocks did not have the bleeder tops like the directions show 4. Lots of pretty aluminium cross braces but the rock sliders are steel 5. The funky looking upper front links restrict smooth articulation IMO the new Vanquish VRD Builders Kit is far superior.

Don't know how you drive your rigs but i put mine in some questionable places and have never had a problem with this truck. Put it to 4 wheel steer some brass in the front drives fine. Manual not that great but unless this is your first build you should know how to figure things out. My only negative it's priced a little high.

The kit is not as bad as others state, mine didn't have the bleeder shock caps like the instructions show, other than that the kit took me alittle over 3hrs to build, fit and finish was not a issue, overall I am impressed with the performance of this kit,it holds its own against other kits on the market as far as performance goes. I enjoy driving this kit as much as my other kits.just my opinion

What reviewers say

Reviewers commonly report missing or wrong-size hardware, missing parts such as rod ends, pivot balls and shock washers, and instructions that are hard to follow and not specific to this kit. Shocks often arrived without the bleeder caps shown in the manual. Several note rusted screws on one unit. Once built, most describe the kit as performing well, handling rough terrain, and fitting and finishing well. Some needed driveline or link adjustments, and one noted the price is high. Reviewers agree on build-quality and instruction issues, while performance opinions are generally positive. Several reviewers say the supplier was helpful in replacing parts.
