Truck crawls good but had to change out the receiver. When I first plugged it in and tried to use it the servo would not work right could not get it to center and it would alway go all the way left and would have to mess with it. Changed out receiver to go with my other remote and it works fine. If I knew I was going to have issues like this I would have saved money and got the kit not the ready to run. Already changed out the motor and esc also only had it a week. I won’t be getting another element crawler will go with other ones instead. I got this one cause I have a tundra and wanted one to match my real truck. This is the only time I have ever got anything bad from amain. And I have got allot of stuff from them.
Well-designed and good-performing truck out of the box. If you're looking for a serious rock crawler, look elsewhere (Ecto, Sendero, etc) This is a scale trail truck that can do some light crawling. With a few easy mods, it's capabilities can be expanded to a certain degree, but the IFS front suspension will be it's limiting factor if you want to climb rocky terrain that requires a lot of clearance and articulation. The goods: -Looks very scale and is a good platform to build upon. -Lots of parts available to customize to your liking -Durable platform can really take a beating The bads: -Servo is weak and mine only lasted a little over a month(most people upgrade them anyway). -Not sure why, but mine randomly loses power for no known reason(lights stay on, but no motor or steering) and have to unplug / replug the battery to reset. Would be nice if they addressed that issue and maybe added a power switch or quick release body mounts as it's a pain pulling the pins every time.
Beautiful truck but the moment I drove it the front left wheel doesn't seem to drive straight. It wobbles as It spins. Kinda disappointed. Seems like the tire wasn't glued correctly and wobbles when it spins.
Reviewers describe the Knightrunner as a good-looking scale trail truck that performs well out of the box, though it is better suited to light crawling than serious rock crawling because of its IFS front suspension. Recurring issues include a weak servo that one reviewer said failed within about a month, and a front-left wheel that wobbled, which one reviewer attributed to a poorly glued tire. One reviewer reported a steering servo centring problem that was resolved by replacing the receiver, and reported that the motor and ESC were also replaced. Reviewers say the platform is a good base for upgrades with many aftermarket parts available. Only three reviews were provided, and they vary in detail and reliability.
