.It's worth noting that the numbers on the tool are much smaller in real life, which can make it challenging for those with aging eyes to read them properly. It's crucial to consider this issue when deciding on a tool to ensure that it meets your needs and provides clear, easy-to-read information.
gotta be easy on the set screw on install. they dont need to be that tight also a little locktight too will help avoid stripping i found. i got 2 sets for my bits and for tools super easy now to identify which tool is which that looks nice too.
Very nice looks great on the protek set I have no regrets would buy again and will when I add a mip set to my collection.
Great looking ID collars. All as expected except one collar arrived with an oversized hole and no threads. Amain customer service handled the issue immediately.
Very nice addition to Protek SL hex wrench. 4 stars as the set screw sticks out considerably once seated. This is not a functional issue but as this is “bling”, a supplied, shorter set screw would get 5 stars. Will buy again.
Reviewers generally rate the Exotek Hudy/ProTek Metric Hex ID Collar Set highly, praising its appearance, colour coding for quick size identification, and easy installation. Several note that the set screws should not be overtightened, and one suggests adding thread locker to prevent stripping. Recurring criticisms include small printed numbers that may be hard to read for some users, a set screw that protrudes noticeably once seated, and a soft included hex wrench that wore out quickly. One reviewer reported a collar with an oversized hole and no threads, which the seller resolved promptly. Reviews refer to the ProTek and SL hex wrench variant.
