About the Titan Buggy 18

Active Pro 4WS

With its fully independent Active Pro 4WS system, the Titan Buggy 18 gives drivers complete steering flexibility in real time. You can instantly switch between front steering, rear steering, crab walk, and fully synchronized 4-wheel steering modes directly from the transmitter. This unlocks superior agility on tight trails, allowing the buggy to pivot, maneuver, and climb with extreme precision. It's a significant advantage for technical crawling where wheel placement makes all the difference.

Advanced Electronics

Featuring Furitek's advanced 2-in-1 Outrunner Brushless System, this crawler delivers ultra-smooth throttle control, instant torque, and zero-cogging performance for highly responsive driving. The Micro Tesla DigiBoard adds an OLED dashboard that enables direct ESC configuration and real-time telemetry, including battery voltage, RPM, ESC temperature, and system status. Built-in alarms provide added protection, while the FuriCar App allows complete customization of throttle curves, drag brake, startup behavior, and more.

Titanium Structure & Premium Components

The Micro Stellar Transmission ensures efficient, quiet, and consistent power delivery, perfectly complementing the torque-rich brushless system. A fully hand-built titanium tube chassis offers unmatched rigidity and scale authenticity, paired with aluminum links, steel driveshafts, and oil-filled shocks for maximum durability on challenging terrain. The combination of full brass wheels, brass hex-integrated tires, and high-clearance geometry enhances stability and traction. These premium materials and components result in a crawler engineered for both elite performance and long-term strength.

Two Star rating for this good looking, good performing Titan Buggy 18 LE. Unfortunately, it comes out of the box with poor build/assembly quality and Furitek’s customer service feels like they provide it as a privilege to customers and they do it on their schedule. I’d return the Titan Buggies (I ordered two LEs), but there’s a restocking fee. The $499 price set my expectation for Titan Buggy 18 as a “premium” ARTR crawler. Despite cool features like the titanium cage and Furitek powertrain, the build quality and customer service do not measure up to the Titan’s price. Right out of the box the hardware began to back out/loosen to the point where I nearly lost body panel hardware, shock tower screws, and servo arm screws. I had the opposite issue with the beadlock wheels. The screws were so tight that I nearly stripped several of the screws getting them out in order to install silicone inserts. The wheels must have been cross threaded or milled incorrectly because the screws are still very difficult to install and remove. After having those issues I went through the Titian but I overlooked the shock rods. One backed all the way out and I lost the spring and spring retainer. On top of that, the shocks appear to have been built with different amounts of oil as they each perform differently. I’ll rebuild them but this is an ARTR. I reached out to Furitek and requested a set of four wheels screws, a shock spring and a spring retainer. The back and forth via email has taken an unreasonable amount of time and the last communication I got from the company suggested that I needed to send my parts request and they’d provide an invoice. I had already sent the parts request with my mailing address(!). Given the build quality and my request for, what, $1-2 in parts (Furitek’s cost), I expected that the company would be eager and rapid about getting the issue solved at their cost. That’s not Furitek’s customer service philosophy, and it doesn’t appear to be how they provide customer service to other customers according to reviews of I’ve come across since running into these issues. Wish I would have seen those reviews before spending >$1,000.

I bought this Titan 18 as well as the Titan Ultimate 24. Both are disappointing. The rear steering servos are way underpowered. Neither buggy will move the rear tires when they are under the weight of the buggy. 24 stripped the gears in a small patch of sand while climbing over a 4-5 inch rock with about a 45degree angle. Furitek obviously knows of the problem. They are coming out with a more adequate servo but of course they don’t have them yet. I’ve spent $1150 on these buggies. I bought a Redcat Ascent Apex for $250 and it runs circles around both of these “ultimate” machines. Buy the Redcat, you won’t be disappointed and have a bunch of stuff sitting on the shelf that doesn’t work.

Straight out of the box, sounds like the transmission is slipping. Won't climb over a blade of grass. Build quality is horrendous for a $500 unit. Based on looks alone, this thing is beautiful. But the quality of furitek is a comical joke. Highly recommend something else from ANY other company.

Honestly, This thing was a hot mess! as another reviewer stated, for a "premium" product Furitek missed the bar by a long shot. Links assembled incorrectly, loose screws throughout and ZERO thread locker on metal-to-metal connections. The axles are full of loose fitting bushings, for the price, they should be full of bearings. Not one piece of adhesive foam tape was used, the RX, controller for the Tesla and some wiring connectors were just loosely in the "cage". The rest of the wiring was a rats nest, zero attention paid to wire routing or keeping wires away from spinney bits. tire foams not properly installed and one pinched tire bead, thankfully not cut! the wheels ran so out of round the crawler would drift left then right... servos are just OK, these will see an upgrade sooner than later. The 4WS with the included TX is a bad joke, plan to scrap the TX/RX if you actually want to have good control over the rear steering. Like most things in this hobby, with some more money and attention to detail it's a fine crawler. The only strong points for this RTR are the chassis and unity motor. Bottom line, buy the Builders kit or just the chassis and go from there. I'm being generous with the two star review, one for the chassis and the other the motor, the rest would be a -5 star.

I’m very happy with this RC crawler. It performs great, has excellent build quality, and handles different terrain with ease. Reliable, fun to drive, and definitely worth the purchase. Highly recommended!
