- FASSTEST SYSTEM: The Futaba 16IZS transmitter adopted the bidirectional communication system FASSTest. Data from the receiver can be checked in your transmitter. FASSTest is a maximum 18 channels (16 linear channels & 2 switch channels) 2.4 GHz dedicated system.
- S.BUS2 SYSTEM: By using the S.Bus2 system, multiple servos, gyros and telemetry sensors are easily installed with a minimum amount of cables.
- USB SIMULATOR CONTROL: The T16IZS offers USB C compatibility for simulator control when used with the Windows OS Joystick function.
- COLOR TOUCH SCREEN LCD: T16IZS has an updated HVGA 4.3 inch, full-color backlit LCD touch screen with both indoor and outdoor visibility.
- MULTI HOLDER: T16IZS Offers Multi holder near the antenna/charging port. It allows for accessories to be mounted using a 3mm screw.
- Voice Telemetry: The Futaba T16IZS transmitter allows for audible telemetry data to be read aloud for easy understanding of crucial parameters while flying.
- SECURE DATA (SD CARD): Model data files can be stored on an optional microSD card. The microSD card is also used when updating the software/features of the T16IZS.

The 16IZ Super is a great transmitter with voice alerts for certain settings. I like the feel of the transmitter and I trust Futaba products.
I purchased this radio as a backup for my existing T16IZ radio. The new one is called T16IZS meaning "Super". I have no clue what makes it "Super" but it's identical to my original radio. I have 14 airplanes on my original radio and I simply transferred the airplanes to the new radio using a Micro SD Card. It transferred the airplanes perfectly however, I had to re-link to each receiver. It was no big deal but kind of a nuisance. You'd think Futaba could do better than this. I like Futaba but their programming leaves a lot to be desired.
Completely invested with Futaba. After 6 years with my old system, I wanted an upgrade. I chose the 16IZS because of the advertised screen and programming. I was not disappointed. The large screen is easy to see in bright light. Programming my current planes was a breeze. I really liked being able to add aileron differential with just a few clicks.
Really enjoying this radio. It feels solid in my hands and is very easy to program. Liking the new antenna design, and other upgrades from previous models I’ve owned.
