About the iMars D1000 Plus G-Tech Smart Charger
Remote App Integration
The D1000 Plus connects directly to the Gens Ace App, enabling full remote control of both charging channels via Bluetooth. Users can monitor real-time charging data, review historical logs, and track long-term battery health from any compatible device. This integration simplifies operation by centralizing all essential information and controls in one place, making the charging process more efficient and transparent.
G-Tech Smart Technology
With automatic recognition of G-Tech smart batteries, the charger instantly detects battery type and parameters for true plug-and-play operation. Smart logging captures detailed battery data to support long-term health monitoring and efficient management. The system also supports non-G-Tech batteries, allowing manual setup while still providing access to all six operating modes, including charge, discharge, storage, balance, cycle, and digital power.
Safety & High-Power Performance
The D1000 features an eight-level protection system designed to safeguard both the charger and connected batteries during every session. These protections include overheating protection, current limiting protection, over-voltage protection, wire break protection, reverse polarity protection, short circuit protection, cell count mismatch alerts, and abnormal voltage alerts. With up to 1000W of total output (500W per channel) and charging currents up to 25A per channel, the charger delivers strong, stable performance while maintaining a high level of operational safety.

Works Great ! May but another one, charges even and stays cool A= so far.
Great charger. Services all my needs easily. Way over kill for my needs but should last me a long time. The user interface is simple to use and all the functionality helps keep lipo’s in check.
Excellent charger that works fully (intelligently) with my Eco Power Electron batteries. Display screen simply shows G-Tech in green text for each intelligent battery instead of the EcoPower green text. If the Eco batteries had the ability to “auto discharge” after a set period, this setup would be the best of both Traxxas (app) and Spektrum chargers/batteries (speed & misc features) combined. Only issue noted that thankfully disappeared quickly after cycling one set of batteries to test the charger was a foul, dead fish smell from the charger unit vents. Of all the chargers I own, never had this situation before - thankfully. App has a lot of nice features and installed easily and communicates fully with my iPhone and iPad Pro (only one can be Bluetooth device can be connected to the charger at a time, just like Traxxas). A definite recommend. Nice job.
Overall, I like this charger, but it has some flaws; namely, it frequently trips my AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) breakers. This is my 3rd Gens Ace charger that exhibits this behavior--the first time was with a D300. I tried multiple outlets, different circuits, and EMI/RFI filtering in a power strip. My current draw is no where near the 15A-20A limit of my breakers, since I'm only charging 2x 4S packs at 5A, which is only about 200-250W including efficiencies, or roughly 2A on a 110V line, so I was baffled. Thinking I had a faulty charger, I returned the first D300 and ordered a second. Same issue. I then waited for this D1000 plus to be released. A bigger charger means a bigger power supply with better power filtering, right? Well, wrong again, same issue. I finally convinced my apartment complex to replace the breakers (3 have been tripping), and 1 of the three brand new breakers continues to trip. AFCI breakers can be required by modern building code, so it's possible that others may experience the same issue as I have (and may or may not be able to change the breakers). FWIW, I have the GE-brand AFCI breakers in my apartment. That said, I think that this charger and the D300 will work without breaker issues for most people. The other negative about this charger is that the Bluetooth phone connectivity is a bit intermittent. I had the best luck when I increased the screen timeout on my phone and used my phone for the Gens Ace app only while charging. If the Gens Ace app isn't active or the Bluetooth disconnects, the charger will stop. The Gens Ace app also has numerous (although probably fixable) bugs; e.g. the charge voltage end point is not adjustable (I like to charge to 4.0 or 4.1 V/cell for longer cycle life), the firmware update says it failed even though it seemed to work, the pop-up warnings are in another language, and the data (such as charge current and cell voltage) occasionally glitches to impossibly high values. On to the good things about this charger. Even though the Bluetooth connectivity has its flaws, it's very nice to monitor the charging status from an adjacent room. Also, the high discharge capability means that I no longer need to wait hours for my 4s packs to reach storage voltage levels after a weekend of racing. Plus, I could charge my batteries at 2-4C if I'm in a hurry (though I usually stay under 1C charging for longer cycle life). However, I agree with Amain's posted video about no one 'needing' the extra power; the D1000 is a fine charger, but unless you have high voltage batteries, or you otherwise need the high charge/discharge power, I'd go with the Gens Ace D300 (assuming you don't have GE AFCI breakers!), since it's smaller and much less expensive. Or maybe the Gens Ace D300 plus if you're willing to pay extra for the 'privilege' of using a bug-riddled app.
This charger looks real nice and it has a really good reviews. The only thing I’ve done with it so far is put my two new batteries into a storage charge, but it did that fast. A main hobbies delivered it really fast.
Reviewers generally rate this dual AC charger highly, with most 5/5 ratings praising ease of use, fast charging, cool operation and suitability for G-Tech and Eco Power batteries. One verified owner gave 3/5 and reported repeated tripping of AFCI breakers when charging, a problem they said recurred across several Gens Ace chargers and persisted despite testing different outlets and circuits. Another reviewer noted a temporary dead-fish odour from the vents after first use that later disappeared. A reviewer also observed that non-G-Tech batteries require manual parameter setup. Several reviews are brief or largely enthusiastic without technical detail, so the sample is small and mostly positive.
- + Simple, easy-to-use interface

- + Stays cool during charging
- + Fast storage charging
- − Repeated AFCI breaker tripping reported by one owner
- − Temporary unusual odour from vents after initial use
- − Non-G-Tech batteries require manual parameter setup
