My goosky e2 helicopter did not come with a battery. And for the price i think it should. Im trying to find a battery on line and im not sure what it takes. I was under the impression it was ready to run but i guess not. And it took forever to deliver. Will not be buying from a main hobbies again. Jjst not worth the hasle. For the amount of money paid its not worth what i got.
Awesome little heli, as much fun as or more than my other bigger helis. Rock-steady performance. I can fly this one in my yard without worrying that it's too big. Also, great service from Amain Hobbies, as usual.
I've been trying to learn to fly RC helicopters on and off since the 1980s, but never got beyond hovering. The thought of the endless "practice, crash, repair..." cycle that seemed to be part of the hobby never appealed to me. I didn't want to be a hotshot 3d pilot. I just wanted something to fly around for fun and relaxation. I currently have an Align 470LP, and only ever hovered it for that very reason. This GooSky E2 is the first RC helicopter I've owned that I actually enjoy. The GPS stabilization is a godsend. I get about twelve minutes of flight time from a fully charged battery. I've even started flying with the GPS off, which is a good first step in learning to fly larger, faster, more complex helicopters. The E2, and most other GooSky helicopters have one "flaw". If you fly over an object, such as a car or large trash can, the helicopter detects it and quickly rises up. However, once it clears the object, it cuts collective hard and falls quickly, usually failing to recover before it hits the ground. Fly in open spaces and avoid passing over objects. If you're just learning to fly helicopters, or just want something fun and relaxing to fly, the E2 is for you. Buy extra batteries and a decent charger with a charging board and you're all set. Note: Some of the newer E2 helicopters come with a larger case that will carry the helicopter without you having to remove the blades. That is worth the extra cost.
