I'd never heard of this brand before but the sale price intrigued me. After doing some research I figured I would give them a try and I was not disappointed. I installed the B900W in my Team Associated Pro4 SC10 Short course Truck and it was a huge improvement over the RTR servo that barely moved the tires. Silky smooth and quiet operation. Beautifully machined casing. Easily dialed in my endpoints then I was off to the races this weekend where I set a new personal best lap time. I'd get this over a budget ECO servo any day of the week.
I used this in my Team Associated Pro4 SC10, there is a noticeable upgrade from stock. My friend has the same truck and at the track I could dial my steering in a little better and I felt like I had more control. We are both new so take that context into account. I do think this and a set of Hole Shot tires (link below) are major improvements. https://www.amainhobbies.com/proline-hole-shot-2.0-sc-2.2-3.0-short-course-truck-tires-2-m3-pro1180-02/p378574?v=206739
There is no way this is a 0.13 transit time servo. I can have a bowl of cereal by the time it gets from one side to the other. I have a 0.15 second servo that is MUCH faster than this servo. It works and appears to have halfway decent torque but, the speed is depressing.
Two reviewers report a clear improvement over stock or budget steering servos in a Team Associated Pro4 SC10 short course truck, citing smooth, quiet operation, easy endpoint adjustment and better steering control. One of these reviewers is newer to the hobby and notes that context. A third reviewer, also verified, disagrees strongly on speed, stating the servo is far slower than its advertised 0.13 transit time and slower than a 0.15 second servo they own, while acknowledging it has reasonable torque. Speed is the point of disagreement; the reviews do not establish whether the servo meets its rated speed. One positive review also mentions a separate tire purchase as contributing to handling gains, so those improvements cannot be attributed to the servo alone.
- + Smooth and quiet operation
- + Easy endpoint adjustment
- + Noticeable upgrade over stock servo
- + Reasonable torque
- − Speed is well below the advertised 0.13 transit time
- − Slower than a 0.15 second servo in one review
