Pretty disappointed in these servos specially for it being from hitech. Bought one to use as a shift servo in my scale crawler. made sure it was not binding or over throwing the shift linkage causing the servo to strain. Was set up well thing just burned out bought another one same thing. Put a cheap spectrum servo in and the thing has been working fine for awhile. So I don't know what is up with hitech but these just didn't cut it.
I have this servo in my losi mini 8 eight. it is flawless it works like a charm. I recommend this servo hitec for all mini buggies..
Do not go near these servo's! Last night I unboxed a batch of 10 of these servo's the first 3 no1 didn't work at all no2 slowed down then stopped all together no3 went up in smoke in my hand! All we're plugged in to HiTECs HFP-25 Servo tester. I own thousands of dollars worth of HiTec item's and there servo's are absolutely junk now. I stear well clear of them if you like your car's launching into crowds of innocent bystanders or the potential of your plane's killing spectators in the crowd or your boats running up the bank! HiTEC servo's make servo's for exactly that purpose
Hitec is the best servo seller by far! if you need servor just buy this ones!
TRASH. I bought one, tested it, and it glitches and fights to find center. Look elsewhere.
Reviews are sharply divided. Two reviewers rate it 5/5, one saying it works flawlessly in a Losi Mini 8 buggy and another calling Hitec the best servo brand, with no specific failures described. Three reviewers rate it 1/5, reporting failures: one verified owner's servos burned out in a scale crawler shift application despite correct setup, one reviewer reports servos not working, slowing and smoking out of the box from a batch of ten, and one reports glitching and difficulty finding center. The negative reports describe premature failure and erratic operation, while the positive reports are brief and lack detail on load or duration of use.
- + Works well in mini buggy use
- + Reliable in one reported Losi Mini 8 installation
- − Reported burnout in a shift servo application
- − Failures out of the box in one batch
- − Glitching and centering problems
