I've has these servos for quite a while. This is a high torque servo, and a slower servo as described in the numbers in the specs. So why is there a bunch of complaining with these servos???? If you don't understand the numbers in the specs, then get off your ass and call Amain for help!!!!!
Theres nothing wrong with this servo, or at least nothing wrong with the one i have. it has a VERY slight centering problem, and i cant tell when im driving. it is very quiet too. i like it.
Excellant value! Torquey and reasonably quick. Cant beat it for the money.
I have this servo in my traxxas sport maxx which i bought a few years ago. i bought it when the traxxas one went bad which wasn't very long and it has worked great for me. no complaints at all.
Decent Servo for the money. Hitec has great customer support.
Reviewers are divided. Several owners in budget RC builds, including Tamiya trucks and buggies, report reliable service, solid torque and good value for the price. Others describe the servo as slow, prone to centering problems, or failing early, with some saying it broke within a day or a few heat cycles. Speed is the most frequently criticised trait, and some reviewers note it is not suited to high-speed or racing use. One reviewer reports the servo worked at 5V but glitched at 6V. A verified owner found stock Tamiya servo savers incompatible. Several comments compare it unfavourably with Futaba or JR alternatives, while others say it is adequate for backyard use.
