About this part

This is the Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 G2 80 Amp Sensored Brushless Waterproof ESC/3652SD Motor Combo. Using IP64 waterproofing and featuring a smart sensored brushless system this versatile combo is an excellent choice for 1/10th Buggy, On-road, Light-weight SCT, Trucks and Monster Trucks.

Features:

  • The EzRun Max10 G2 ESC features an improved waterproof sensored cable interface and an upgraded sensored mode to achieve a great sense of control feel and perfectly matches the EzRun 3652 SD G3 motors.
  • Supports Turbo timing adjustment of up to 32 degrees, and in combination with the EzRun 3652 G3, the maximum speed is 25% more with greater effect.
  • The smart start-stop technology is introduced to the Max10 G2 ESC. The frameless fan will not be enabled to reduced noise and saving power. The fan will only work when the temperature rises to a certain level.
  • Compared with the previous generation of the MAX10 ESC, the total capacitance of the capacitor is increased by 74% and is overheating protected. The functions improve the power delivery from the battery to the ESC to avoid it from overloading and causing capacitors to explode.
  • Smart freewheeling technology enables the MAX10 G2 to have higher drive efficiency than the previous generation, resulting in lower operating temperatures and a minimum temperature of approximately 25°C lower than the previous generation.
  • After connecting the ESC with the OTA Wireless module, you can view the data (throttle amount, voltage, current, temperature, speed and etc) in real time through the mobile app to know the running status; The history of the running status can also be viewed by data logging.

Excellent product. It works well in a 2wd Slash or other light weight vehicles allowing for better acceleration and higher top speeds than stock configurations.

Tons of power. This esc and motor combo is very fast on 3s for my TT-02SRX to the point I have to gear it down to control it. Setup was very easy and I love how smooth sensors hobbywing motors are.

My 2017 Slash 4x4 since new would cog severely and go instantly to 5mph, no slower. Traxxas advised resetting the remote and transmitter, it never resolved the issue. Years later I attempt to resolve this issue. I called A-Main to learn about new products and was recommended this ESC and Motor combo. It is awesome. I can go slow on trail walks and rip it too. It is an amazing piece of engineering. Thanks for the tech support at A Main.

First off. The ease of finding parts and information on Amain is great. I was able to source all the parts needed to replace all the electronics, and upgrades for an Arrma fury 223 with very minimal previous experience. The max10 g2 setup is easy to set up and works great with the program card for tuning. The sensored setup allows for super smooth and precise low speed control and all the low end torque you need for a 1/10 short course setup. This will fit in a new fury, gorgon, or quake with a little adjusting of the frame and the hot racing 10mm motor spacer. You will have to notch the frame a small amount to clear the power and sensor wires. Rite now a 20 tooth pinion fits fine but will need to make the mounting slots a little longer to accommodate a 21tooth. Hobby wing has been my go to for the last two builds and will continue to be.

What reviewers say

Most reviewers rate this Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 G2 80A sensored ESC and 3652SD 3300kV motor combo very highly, praising strong power, smooth low-speed sensored control, easy setup with the program card, and good heat management on 2S and 3S setups in a range of 1/10 vehicles including Slash, TT-02, MT10, Bandit and Arrma Fury. Several note it is large and needs minor chassis modification or notching for fit. Reviews disagree on durability and value: one verified owner reported the motor failing after about six to seven packs, another found the boost setup complex and performance lower than a previous unit with a short motor and small pinion shaft. One review concerns a non-delivered order rather than the product itself.

  • + Strong power and acceleration
  • + Smooth sensored low-speed control
  • + Easy setup with program card
  • + Stays cool under use
  • − Large ESC requires chassis modification
  • − Motor failure reported after few packs
  • − Boost setup described as complex
  • − Short motor and small pinion shaft fit issues
