Bought this on a late night after six beers internet tour. Very nice with the Bluetooth edition. Sits in my xrt and made it a whole new animal. Love it
10 out of 10 amazing plenty of power and smooth wish I could get the max 5 tho for more power
Easy to order and good communication. Only downside was the delivery time from US to NZ but that is largely out of Amains hands.
i put this in my xmaxx and the traxxas esc coged bad but i put this in still cogs but not nearly as bas as traxxas esc
Just installed one in my new Xmaxx and it’s pretty sweet , the Bluetooth is awesome so much easier to setup the only problem is it blew apart the 44 tooth mod 1 wide face spur gear and Cush drive within 5 minutes lol punch is at 6 which is what my XRT is at with the prior version Max6 with 20-44 gearing as well but the new Max6 gives way more power so now I gotta figure out what gears to run but I definitely recommend the G2 Max6
Reviewers rate the Hobbywing EZRun MAX6 G2 highly, with most describing strong power, smooth throttle response and easy Bluetooth setup, and several calling it an upgrade over the earlier MAX6. One reviewer noted it was more responsive than a Castle Monster X 8s for 6S bashing. Reported drawbacks are mixed: one owner had a unit shut off under load after about three months and received a replacement through the seller; another reported cogging in a Traxxas-style setup, though less than the Traxxas ESC. One reviewer said the BEC capacitors were enlarged, so some aftermarket fan mounts no longer fit. Delivery time from the seller to New Zealand was noted as slow. Most reviews are five-star from verified owners, though the sample is small.
- + Strong power and smooth throttle
- + Easy Bluetooth setup
- + Responsive for 6S bashing
- + Holds up under hard use
- − Unit shut off under load in one case
- − Cogs at low speed in one setup
- − Larger BEC capacitors block some fan mounts
- − Slow delivery to New Zealand
